If anything were natural... it would look more like the Stock market chart for amount of links per day to a site... 50 today 49 tomorrow, 30 the next day 25, 45, 60,65 - you catch my drift...
i think it might seem too "shady" if you get 300 today and NONE tomorrow or the rest of the month...
keep it constant.. 1 a day isn't much... at least not in my target area...
