    Default SEO questions

more of just a convo point that I could not find in the searches.

IF you had a web page (real estate or other) with very limited info

Just contact info a registration form etc (all fits on one page)

Is it still possible to get it high (even the top) of a search for your key words?

Or does it help to have a bigger site to move up in google searches more quickly

(Theoretical question) If you had a resturant that was call in orders only (no web orders) and you wanted to be the first hit for "Chinese food town state"
but your page had only driving direction etc with enough work could you get it to the top?

    Thanks.. very new at this

Ranking algo's are complex but the most important factors are usually based on lots of good content (assuming spiders can find it) and incoming links from quality related sites. That said, I can think of a couple of sites in my town that rank high for a great keyword that consist of 1 page with a link to search properties. In both cases, the sites are OLD and have a lot of incoming links though. If you are starting out with a new site, you probably going to need to start writing content.

You do not necessarily have to have one single word of content to have good rankings. It's easier with content, but, not absolutely necessary.

Let's say you have images, but, they are perfect for what you are trying to do and the site generates links because of its innovative design and the content is on deeper pages, you can rank.

Probably going to be a little more difficult for longtails though.

Landing pages that are keyword rich in domain, heading tags and copy can get ranked high.
