Well, As far as I know, signatures are really helpful for us to get as much traffic you want and with that it gives you inbound links that are relevant and beneficial.

As, you have to be very precise of what information you are providing that will be helpful in getting links.

Back to topic, my site is relatively new, yet I have seen significant increase on the SERPs the past month. Although I can't say that I credit completely to the signature links as I have been doing other SEO efforts as well. At this point, I use REW more as a source of information/advice from experts/peers than a source of links.

I agree. Google understands how this works, and how people will go to far extremes to try to increase their search results. We have had the best success with long key word strings, to cater to specifics people are looking for when they are searching for off campus housing. This all has to do with the content on the site itself, and QUALITY incoming links, not just blogs or forums.

The power of signature links - REW is a do-follow site allowing signatures. If the posts are relevant to the topic and appropriate, then it is a valuable link.

Jayes, I just looked and your links show up as nofollow in your sig. Some people do have dofollow, but not yours. Maybe you are still to new to the site to get the nofollow removed.

Once a user has passed 300 posts, the no-follow tag gets removed.
