Squidoo & Buildmylens

Has anyone had any great luck with buildmylens dot com ? It looks like they build some great lens on squidoo for something like $250. Just wondering if anyone thought it was a great service or got some great results for the money.

I'm noticing most lens that are created on squidoo don't show up very high on the search engines.

I've made two lens and each took me like 5 minutes.

1. Buy some PLR articles
2. Rewrite them for your keywords
3.Build your lens

Easy as that.

Building lens on Squidoo and making your lens popular is just like doing SEO on your website.

In order for your lens to rank well you have to create backlinks for it and make it popular on Squidoo by being active in the Squidoo community.

Of course, the lens you create had to be good!

Never used Squidoo myself, but I remember about a year ago when Google recognized that they were mainly for SEO and gave their pages a BIG penalty.
The way I've always seen it is, why not build your own website that you have full control over. They both take time and marketing, I'd rather own my site.

You do need to be active on Squidoo in order for your lenses to do well. I am not sure how much benefit there still is with lenses.

It's useful for a back link to your site and blog at the least, but there's other sites to do that with too.

I tried building one when I first started this SEO stuff a couple of months ago and never finished it. I have had a ton of success with other forms of SEO though.
