Hiring an assistant for lead follow-up?

I wanted to get some opinions on hiring an assistant to do phone follow-up calls to website leads. Honestly, I just don't have the disclipine to keep up with it and I've tried doing it myself in the past and wasn't calling consistently enough...I'm sure this has to do with it also being my least favorite task to perform.

I noticed that there are many virtual assistants out there who specialize in lead follow-up...but I want to see what fellow Realtors think of this idea. Also, must they be licensed to perform this task??

Yeah or start to hire a team. I personaly like the team idea. You have total control and you make a cut off what they do.

That's not a bad idea, Micheal. I've tossed that option around several times as well. First I'd have to find other agents that I trust and feel comfortable working with (i.e. that have the same work ethic as me)...not an easy task. Do you have a team in place?

Yes i have 8 agents and about 5 agents fixing to start. I interveiw alot of agents. I have a system that i follow and if i dont think they can work my system they wont be around very long.

Well any information you can send my way about starting up a team, would be greatly appreciated. How many leads would you say you receive a week? (I'm curious to know if I get enough leads to actually start a team).

My agents total have around 20 offers on the table for this month. I know we have atleast 12 closing right now.

i get about 300 leads a week, But i have several baby sites that arnt not even producing yet. This is why i am hiring. My agents wont get more then 2 leads a day once i get enough agents to work my leads. More then 2 is to many for any one person

300 a week?!?! Okay...I'm not in that league yet. I don't even get that many a month! I average about 37,000 pageviews a month on my website, but I'm only averaging right now about 50-60 inquiries a month. Is that even enough to start a team??
