How are people feeling about it these days? I know there is an "REW Crew" but haven't heard much in a while...

I think the lenses can still rank well. Came across one earlier this week with #1 ranking keyword seo for twitter.

Might be my next project (well after working on my website anyway) because squidoo was another application I tried a year or so ago and never got.

Thanks Carolyn...I played around with it too but let it fizzle - and I understand you need a lot of help from your friends to start making a dent. So that's why I was wondering if we could get the "crew" back together :-)

Yeah I think I jacked up my site somehow, it's what I get for working on it myself. I think squidoo would be worth looking into.

Kevin, Joe Lane is the squidoo master, even put up a new lens today (see active rain post in REW blogs), I've read most of his posts but was still lost on basic concepts. I think I'm about ready to tackle squidoo. (I would probably be better off just writing but learning things is more fun).

I think Squidoo if done in a particular niche can rank very well without too much effort. I had a lent get down under 2K which I was happy with. I has a PR2 now, so I feel that is the biggest benefit since the links back to my site now come from a site with pr

Interesting. I just searched for some relevant topics to our business and there seems to be very little on there about it.. sounds like an opportunity to create a lens.

Not sure..I have a couple of lenses set up but It takes a lot of work to make anything rank (just setting up a lens does not guarantee instant success)which makes me rather work on my own domain names using WP.

No instant gratification but for the long term...

I have been using Squidoo more for mainly feeding some good quality links into some of my other sites. Haven't seen any superb results from this but every little bit counts.

Definitely don't spend the majority of my time promoting the lenses as opposed to my own blogs and websites. I do go back and update them every once in a while just to keep the content fresh.

Interesting, I too tried using squidoo maybe a year ago and didn't really "get it" may be time to give it another shot. Although I still don't think I get it (other than seo purposes) why not just build your OWN site that you have full control over?
