I was wondering what is the recommended Max Number of Links per page?
Also should you count the ones that point to your own site in that number?![]()

SD, please put your links in your signature which you can add in the USER CP area of this forum. I noticed you added the links to your site in the post you made. Thank you.
Welcome to the forum by the way.![]()
Thanks,
The reason I am asking is I have seen several people limiting there link partners to only 50 total per page.
If you are looking for San Diego Real Estate or you want to view San Diego MLS listings (or at least that portion of the data feed that SANDICOR allows us to display on our websites) go to a local San Diego County real estate Agent's Site.

* Keep the links on a given page to a reasonable number (fewer than 100).

On my Cook County site I limit my total links to 50 per page. Some people limit their outgoing links to no more than 20. The less links on a page the greater benefit to your link partners.Originally Posted by SDluxuryHomes
For those that are interested in PR, it is divided up by the amount of links per page & passed on that way. The more links per page, the less PR that is passed on.
On my other sites I only have a certain amount of pages to use total. So on those sites I limit my total links to 100 a page. However, some will not trade with me on those pages.
Money Magazine says that Orland Park real estate is one of the best places to live in the U.S. Check out Homer Glen homes if you're interested in living in the newest Chicago suburb. Next door, Lemont homes are the priciest in the southwest suburbs and have held their value, even appreciating while prices in other areas have gone down.
Unless you work for Google, there is no way to know how obsessed they are with linking or how they rate linking. The percepition amoung SEOs, from observed SEO behavior, is such that a far greater amount of effort goes into artificial linking than in improving content. If you believe what google says, I have a hard time believing them, then links are rated in proportion to the care taken in obtaining them. I guess you can reason that the more links, over a relatively small number, you have on a page the less each link will be worth.Originally Posted by judyo
This is correct by Google's standards. This is the quote from their web site:Originally Posted by kyle422

Keep the TOTAL linksto 100, remember you also have navigation links on your links pages. So if you have 85 nav links than only, relatively, 15 reciprocal links will get any credit... If I see a crowded page I walk away. I use 40 as my number, but most of my pages are under 20.
