Anyone been getting calls for a one-time buy for a permanent position on leapfish(dot)com search engine? Quite an interesting pitch. Seemed to be much better trained with the sales pitch.

I just got a call. They wanted $1100 for a permanent ad for the keyword "scottsdale real estate." I told them I would think about it, but http://www.techcrunch.com/2008/11/20...will-ever-use/ helped me make my mind.

I always seem to get calls from these types of people. I would say no less then 3 per week usually they say they are calling on behalf of google though. The worst for me so far has been RedZee which I actually gave a try. It was worthless. I found it is always wise to do a little research before spending your advertising money.

I get these calls alot too. They have gotten to the point of leaving messages and presenting themselves as possible 'clients' to get a call back. When I was new to real estate, I tried a few and they were very bad. Now I just cut them off.

I find it interesting that they target real estate professionals so aggressively. There must be a lot of Realtors who will sign up with these so called services. I just figure if they really had a great service they would not have to telemarket it to you.

It is called desperation, stupidity, ignorance or a combination of all three. Many realtors are looking for anything magic that might work, other than hard work.

I think many Realtors try so many things simultaneously that they don't really know what works for their business. That's resulted in every vendor under the sun trying to sell us all kinds of stuff, most of it out and out crap.

The reason they target real estate folks is because the person behind it, Ben Behrouzi, is the same person behind ePerks..... which is reportedly going bankrupt and offering 20 cents on the dollar to clients it owes refunds to....

That certainly explained some of the comments in the Techcrunch link provided .. Brings back memories of a certain blogger that wrote about ePerks.
