Hi Guys,

I went live with my new site last night and I'm extremely excited about the capabilities of the site. Everyone who has worked on it has done a tremendous job and I want to thank everyone who had input on design and implementation. It truly is outstanding.

However, I really need some changes on the blog to make it more user friendly and improve the consumer useability for what I want out of it. So, I have a couple of things that I need quotes for and then a couple of questions that may actually be there that I don't know. Quotes first....

• I don't want excerpts. I don't think consumers (much less savvy than most of us when it comes to technology) know they have to click a link to a full post. I would like the 5 most recent full posts displayed with the title as a link to the individual post as it is now. Scratch that. I know they don't know and I'm opposed to placing barriers up that may make them miss something or leave.
• On the index page where the new full 5 posts will be, I do not want the comments to show up. I just want links that say "Comments" and something next to it that shows the total number of comments and if there are none, I want it to say "Be the first to Comment" Click it and it takes you to the full post individual page with the comments module.
• At the bottom of the blog index page, I want a link to "Previous Posts" (if that is not already there).
• Comments - this lacks some functionality that every blogger should have control over. Moderation is critical and I don't have any moderation options other than delete and then I can only do that before I approve it. I need more flexibility. I think it's essential to providing a professional blog and user experience. This forum is moderated as are most as well as other professional and news blogs. I need to be able to view all comments somewhere (I don't see this anywhere). I need to be able to edit commentors names and I need to be able to edit their posts. A simple link to a list of comments in the order they have been posted with the ability to edit their name and their comment is what I need.
• Spellcheck. I can't spell when I type.

OK, so now to questions...

• Is there a spam filter?
• Pingbacks - which types of blogs will I receive pingbacks from? REW blogs? WordPress? Typepad? - Just curious.
