    Who said anything about "Not showing a property to a buyer based on what commission is being offered is a breach of your fiduciary duty as a buyer agent" ?

    This post is mostly complaining amongst ourselves regards to compensation.

    You're right Tomgoral. The other Tom didn't say he doesn't show them - just shuffles them lower in "the list".

    However, a buyer agent's job is to find his/her clients the best home for their needs, and compensation should have nothing to do with that selection process.

    Oh I see, most of my clients search the mls database off our company search engine. I just don't like it when listing agents get 3% and buyer agents get 1.5%. I always give buyer agents more, just seems fair.

    We do bank owned listings for Bank of America. They give us a 6% commission and they have us split it so that the buyers agent gets 3.5% and we get 2.5%. I thinkill depends on the bank or the area.
