Decent points Angie. With a lot of decisions in real estate, the Realtor can only provide guidance, suggestions, advice, and the final decision is up to the principal.

For instance, when representing a buyer, I oftentimes prefer if the buyer brings their own lender to the table (there are times when this can backfire). And when selling a home, I can provide a solid CMA, but in the end, the seller selects the sales price (now that doesn't mean that you should accept any sales price the seller selects; if it is severely out of whack with what you think people are saying yes to in the market, you should consider walking away from the listing).
