Would like to make an order before end of the year

Hi,

I just became a client a few days ago so my site is still in beginning stages...I ordered LEC-2 not even in production yet. (www.allaboutrealestate.com) But I want to add a custom. I saw in thread below someone asked how much to add a mobile feature to IDX referrencing http://www.mckinneyhomerebate.com/mo...-searching.htm

It look like the cost was about 10 hours. ($1000). If this is the case then I want something very similar...can I go ahead and place my order for this function?

I need to be billed (and pay) for this in 2008 if possible. Maybe you guys can send me credit card authorization? And if it cost a little less/more I can deal with that in 2009? Not sure how McKinny's mobile function works exactly but I would want to limit access to it for my clients only so don't know if that would cost extra? If so,...maybe I'll leave it open until I make more $$$? Would like to talk/email someone about this for more info.

Melinda - That is something that we did custom, so there is no fixed cost, however it would certainly be on the 10+ hours in terms of combined design and programming, if you would like to be invoiced for $1000 before 09, that is not a problem (Or more if you like) and if it is less (assuming you overfund) you can always be refunded the difference, on the flip side, because it's a custom order, your hours may go over what you pre-pay, and you would be billed for the balance upon completion.

Finally - we have no idea if this application is allowed by the RMLS guidelines, thus if they say no, you can once again request a refund of the pre-fund, or keep them on account for future work.

Shall I have billing invoice you? If so, what amount please?

Yes, I'll move forward with this assuming that once it's approved with RMLS I can get that basic design and stay at $1000 or below. For tax reasons it makes sense for me to do this...but not necessarily easy on the budget to begin year.

Hoping you can work with me on this.

Permission granted to invoice me $1000 for this year.

I am sorry Melinda, I cannot process this work order - I did not provide a fixed bid estimate nor did I ever indicate that the ceiling could be $1000 I clearly stated your estimate as 10+ hours which contradicts what you have requested.

There is really nothing to work with - we bill by the hour, and whatever the labor is that is required to complete a task, is what you get billed - it is not negotiable.

Sorry for the miscommunication. I did not assume a fixed bid. And I was not trying to negotiate your rate down. What I was thinking when I said "hope you can work with me" was having something more basic than what was on the McKenna site (perhaps less features) within the Mobile search (if need be) to make my order stay at or below $1000 limit.

You are well worth your $100 hour rate. I did a ton of research before finally choosing your company to create my site and also communicated with one of your clients as a reference. Your design and programming is more aesthetically appealing and futuristic than all other companies I came across.

Due to constraints, I think I'll put off this project until a later date.
