Default The One Page Sales Letter Approach

    So I have been thinking...

My website is my signature and the original thought was to generate leads. However, I did the site the "standard" way.

What I have been thinking, because my name is very specific to "market watching" I was thinking about making it one of those one page sales letters that you see for other products. I personally do not like those pages, because they seem very infomercial like. However, from lots of reading, the conversion on those sites for other products are much better then other regular sites. so i still have some other domain names that I can use for a more traditional site.

Somebody can submit the information and an auto-responder will send them the information.

I was also thinking about increasing my "free e-books" to get information.

    What do you guys think?

I know i posted this around the holidays but still no replies?

I think this could be one 'good' way to bring people in. Must have multiple marketing messages, and this would be just one of a few.

Anybody? I heard that the free e-books and reports really help.

here in the UK, its an instant switch off, but i believe it works much better in the US.

Just looked at your site and I would definitely think that a teaser of what is in the reports on the home page would ensure more business.

I bet that a simple tool on there of some kind showing stats would go down a treat - you could get this made for < $100 easily and get a lot more business thru it.

    Just my two pence/cents

    Hi Angela!

Lead capture is fairly easy. I'm a big believer in having visitors sign up to view our MLS. We convert about 12%-14% of our visitors to leads. It's very effective. Recently, because of the market, we have added a "Free Foreclosure List" capture which has increased our leads by anywhere from 5-10 leads per day...sometimes higher!

The biggest thing though is not lead capture but lead conversion. If you need any help, let me know.

It really depend on the products or service you are selling. I certainly don't recommend a one page sales letters for selling real estate. Whatever your choice is lead capture is a must. The most valuable business asset that you can own is your opt-in list.

Why not do a split test, that way you will know for sure which is better. You send 1/2 the traffic to one page, 1/2 to the other and see which converts better.
