If I was trying to give you some input on my "opinion" and you came back at me with that, instead of discussing the issue, I'd be pretty miffed at you to.

You attacked the poster instead of the post. That is not a good way to exist within a community - I am not going to address the posts following (Which I did read) because I this comment is addressing how this thread got personal, not whether or not links.html are discredited but I will leave you with this tidbit on the fallacy commited in your post.

Well, I am thinking that your own "links" page is called links.html or something similar otherwise I dont see why you would be trying to discredit me in some way. Especially after I said that this is what works for me, and since I have been following this method I am noticing big SERP movements. Where as 10 links might have made a 10 position move, 5 are now doing the same thing. This could be due to link aging, but I am talking Yahoo here not Google.

Also I am not sure what allinanchor or allinurl have to do with being a good page... Sure they maybe cached, but that is because huge corporations have "links" pages. Where you will start to see problems is on links pages that are so clearly there to manipulate the serps. Especially when you get things like links2.html, links3.html, etc... In this thread I stated a reason as to why his page might be having a problem. That's whats great about a message board you can choose to take it or leave it, but I feel the advice I gave is strong in fact it would never hurt you and could only help you in this matter.

Again, this is what I DO, and what is working for me. I feel I wasted 9 months or so linking to everyone and their mother. Since I have refined my link partners I shot out of the sandbox to the top of the serps. Again this could be aging, but it worked on four of my other sites as well...

lol How does that have anything to do with the post? He posted, I let this post go, you brought it back up, about how he can find pages have "links" that are allinurl? Again not having anything to do with the original post or idea...

Your site, you choose the moderators, but I will tell you that I did not "start" this and the people that have PM'd me, Emailed me, and overall let me know that they have had the same problem from the same people really lets me know what goes on. Like I said I will stay out of the strategy forum as it seems that ideas are not wanted just the status quo. I tried to help, infinity thanked me for the insite and is looking into his site because of it. If I can get just one person to switch over to a subcategory on topic setup for their links that will help EVERYONE here than I am happy. Again No harm no foul. Not sure what "harm" it is perceived that I was doing. Being a moderator of many forums myself I know that certain people get a little happy with the "ban stick" and a bit of a power trip, but please realize that are people out there that no what they are doing as well.

Again I love the site, but the moderators shouldnt start conversations with "please elaborate" as it is quite clearly a bait technique

It clearly shows that Google has no problem caching pages with the name links.html example http://64.233.179.104/search?q=cache...rl:links&hl=en which clearly refutes your claim, and instead of discussing the link you accuse him of trying to discredit you, because his pages are called links which was not the case at all, nor did it even appear to be.

You're right, it is my forum but im not taking sides because resale is a mod, I would argue the same for any member - your response to resale trying discuss your claim that pages called links.html are not cached was innapropriate (See fallacy I stated above) - you got upset because someone called you on something and they happened to be right, now you are attacking me with the same fallacy you attacked resale. "Your comment is not valid because someone PM'd me that doesnt like how you run things" What does that have to do with my post at all! I dont even think you read my post!

I clearly stated I was addressing the personal nature this thread was taking, not the original post itself, "how does it have anything to do with the original post" it doesn't. That was the point. I just had a PM asking me to come check out this thread, and saw that it went off on a tangent because of you being abbrassive, as the admin it is my job to investigate such PM's. I dont get along with everyone, nor expect everyone here to like me or how this place is run - however I dont think you will find a person that has a problem with what I posted above - you were the agressor in this thread (Granted there was retaliation) yet you refuse to acknowlege this. You intentionally insulted 2 moderators that were trying to help everyone (Not just you) with the post below:
