GMail adds offline support

You guys that use GMail might be stoked to hear that GMail is now working on adding offline support. They just enabled it via labs, so you'll have to turn it on to try it out.

I know on more than one occasion the internet at the office has been sporadic, and it would be nice to have it sync offline and automatically sync back up when my internet connection gets stable again.

I am here to add more info. In your email session go to setting>Labs

then Enable the offline.

But I never use it, do you find it useful? Did it cause you gmail to be slower when online since it has to store info to harddisk too?

I haven't really seen it to be slower. Then again, I haven't done much experimentation with it either.

I'm going to fiddle with it today and post my thoughts.
