Writing tips and comments on industry news are good topics.
Hiring a writer can also bring ne insight.
Here's a pretty good list of ideas:

I can help you find houses for sale in Houston and also write at this blog dedicated to real estate technology for agents. I originally created this Houston Real Estate site and switched to REW - awesome decision.
I try writing about neighborhood and city events as well
Great Oakland Real Estate Information. Search the MLS for Oakland homes and condos. Berkeley, Piedmont and Alameda too!
Oakland Real Estate | Piedmont Real Estate | Alameda Real Estate
Why not write about communities in your area and quick move-in homes in your area and feature a home that is priced appropriately each week.

Search www.NewHomesSection.com for information about green homes, home builders, and housing information.
You can try checking the Pew Research Center and People-Press.org for statistics and ideas for new blog posts. You may have to do a little digging to look for real estate related studies.
For example, check out what's linked to from the front page of Pew Research today:
No Place Like Home -- Even if the Value Is in the Tank (Link)
Quote:Not even a housing-led recession can shake Americans' faith in the blessings of homeownership.Add a bit of spin and personality to the mix and you've got yourself a great blog post that you can also use to *wink wink* *nudge nudge* persuade the readers to purchase a home.
House prices may be falling, foreclosures rising and residential sales weak -- yet the vast majority of homeowners say their home is a source of comfort (90%) in their life, while just 6% say it is a burden...

I wonder if you are looking for ways instead of sources to improve your writings. Here is what I do to produce my posts in a flash.
1. Subscribe to RSS
2. Develop 3 bookmarks (statistic sites for latest data & figures , market trend sites, knowledge based sites, all on real estate of course )
3. AV Folder ( for podcasts and real time vids from related sites )
Its a lot easier and faster to produce new materials with this 3 simple steps. Its all about how you manage your research resources.
Hi all,
Try repurposing your writing into different formats.
You can record yourself (or someone else) reading out the articles and use that audio for your blog as new content. You can easily record yourself using a sound editing software like Audacity (free).
Combine that audio with powerpoints that you record on the screen using something like Camstudio (also free). On the powerpoints you can have dotpoints of the content that you talk about in the audio.
You can combine your older content and present it in a different format. Not only will this breathe new life into your old written content, but there will be greater perceived value with audio and video.
Let me know what you think.
Simon
