Default Yahoo directory listings - worth it?

I would like to know forum members' opinions about buying a directory listing on Yahoo. It's not cheap (costs $299 to get in if accepted, then $299 annually). Is anybody else doing this? Has it been worth it?

glad to help, I've paid for Yahoo directory for a couple years now and seems to have helped in gaining exposure on yahoo. right now my directory listing is #6 for dallas real estate, below zillow, realestatebook, yahoo, and realtor.com.....very hard to compete with the big names....

Good to know. Those are some pretty impressive results, I have to admit.

listing in yahoo directories doesn't guaranteed good rankings and traffic. So, I better spend my $299 on other links that can give me more traffic.

You won't get much link juice, however you'll obtain some trust rank. IMHO

It can't hurt to be in Yahoo Directory. If your competition is there, you need to be too.

You really don't need that link, many many sites have ranked #1 without that link.
