Default What is your most effect drip email?

I know many of us send out lots of drip emails, some which last 3-4 months if not longer. I am trying to see what types are getting the best responses/conversions.

My welcome email which is really basic gets me a very small amount of replies. It does not really try to convert in the welcome email but I do get people who email me back saying "hey thanks for the email, I am looking for such and such".

I get a replies from my "how to use the MLS search" email.

Then I get responses from just any email that just happens to be in their email in box the day they are thinking about getting serious with their home buying/selling. Just being in front of them is all that matters and not so much what the email says.

I really want to come up with a good email that gets good responses, when I update people on rate drops that always gets replies. I just created a "get the latest foreclosure/short sale listings" drip and will report back after a month to see how it worked out.

Any suggestions/experiences from others here would be great.

Michael, I don't have much to offer, but I'm very interested in the topic as well. If I come across anything, I'll let you know!

3-4 month is not enough. My Drips last 2 years. Each one of my agents have thier own dripmail. We get more replies to our saved searches then any dripmail.

Referring Sites 8,151.00 (33.61%) , Which is people coming back to my site from emails. This is just the last 30 days. So the Drip mails do work.

I have no doubt that your numbers are impressive, but I believe the referring sites category also encompasses traffic brought to your site from all over the web through your SEM work. At least it does in my case.

I've always been curious on how to accurately track click through rates of email campaigns. Campaignmonitor dot com was something I was investigating recently, but adding a cost to something that's free just didn't feel right.

The most effective emails are those that include links to your website or an internal page. The purpose of a drip email is for a person to click on a link and come back to your site. You want them to use your site in their home searching process. So make sure you include links in your email.

I don't expect my leads to respond to my drip emails, but I do expect them to return to my website. Your email subject must also be enticing enough for them to actually open the email. My best email subject is "Check out my listings". This email generates many return visitors and the actual replies back.

Out of 8500+ visits I had 1000+ click from links in emails sent to them, I have about 900 "direct traffic". Then when I compare new to returning it says about 5,000 new and 3500 returning. The 900 people spend 7 min and 40 seconds on my site. The 1,000 i can't figure out because I looked to see how many "referring sites" were email programs and just counted them up to 1,000.

New visitors average 4:41 on my site and retuning spend 9:12 which is double the length of visit than the new visitors.

Now the new vs returning has nothing to do with the people clicking links in emails but I do find it interesting how much longer returning visitors spend on the site.

Of the top 5 traffic sources, #5 is actually Yahoo email.

I have other sites too with a nice amount of traffic but I am only referencing my main site here.

Mike I guess you avg 24,000/month, that is awesome.

PS.. I forgot to mention, my drip email entitled "New listings in you area" gets replies too.

Mailchimp? I'll check them out. Now the real trick here is finding a service that offers an API that can be integrated into your IDX.

Then you will really start seeing some awesome drip email analytics, which will then help you shape the perfect email.

I can look at google Anticly or how ever you spell it. Most are returns from emails. very few from other places on the web.
