I don't think Yahoo is stingy with sending traffic. But isn't that what a portal is supposed to do?
This is something I do not know..well if this is the case I must check Yahoo stats on my site. Glad to see if Yahoo is gaining ground.
I see a good % of traffic coming from yahoo too, for some reason my rankings in yahoo are awesome I'm top 10-15 for almost every phrase I'm trying to rank for where in google I'm not top 10 in any of them its weird how I can rank so highly in 1 search engine and so low in another...

I don't think it is fair to say that Yahoo gives more traffic in my case because on Yahoo I rank in the top 10 for most of my desired KW phrases and in Google I'm lucky to even have my pages indexed. I think this is because everyone goes for Google rankings. I'm pretty amazed at many of the pages that rank in front of mine on Google sometimes because on a pure textual content basis they are not even close to as being as relevant as what I have on my site. I know there are other factors like authority, back link profile, domain age etc but I have seen some sites with less than 10 links (per yahoo site explorer), non area based domains rank on page 3-4 where my page isn't even indexed by Google and its loaded with text about the specific keyword phrase I'm looking for on Google and has over 100 inlinks. I think because Google search results are so heavily optimized for their results are not always the content most relevant to the users query.
So if yahoo gives me 1000 visitors from top 10 rankings and Google gives me 800 from almost no rankings I can clearly understand why people spend their time optimizing for Google and pretty much neglect Yahoo

@bnicolas- Why isnt your site indexed? Did your site get banned?
my site is indexed, its just that certain area pages aren't and to clarify above the page I was mentioning was indexed it was just buried very deep in the Google rankings, when you search for the term with city ca real estate it shows up (this is a function of how my links are built)

Gotcha...loud and clear.
I just started my current SEO project. Really can't wait for everything to take off/ site to be redone etc etc etc. Its a long haul thing, so no worries.
This is my first real estate gig. Assuming all work is done with google in mind, should I expect to see about 80something% of new visitors (search engine) from g? That's what I see from other industries I work or have worked with.
It's rather interesting, I have seen an increase in yahoo as compared to bing lately. However, its still only a small percentage of overall traffic. But traffic is traffic...
