Default Video Feedback for Blackberry Storm

I am wondering, first if anyone is using the Blackberry Storm, and second what their feedback is on the video capabilities of its camera.

I can't comment on the video capabilities, but I'm honestly spoiled by having an iPhone.

An agent in our office recently picked up a storm, and it just didn't compare. Clunky interface, choppy browsing, and horrible feedback with typing on the screen. I'm just not a fan.

I can help you find houses for sale in Houston and also write at this blog dedicated to real estate technology for agents. I originally created this Houston Real Estate site and switched to REW - awesome decision.

I actually went out and got the Storm from Verizon, kept it for a week, and then tossed it in the trash. IF you are a text or emailer, and you and are used to "buttons" rather than a touch screen, you are in for a rude awakening. I also was excited about the video capabilities, but just ended up picking up a Flip Mino HD for $188.00 to fill that pocket video void.

Have you used the video capability, does it have video capability?

I was looking at KODAK Zi6 Pocket Video Camera for pocket video, but if it were possible to shoot decent quality videos of 3 to 5 minutes such as this, http://propertunityknocks.com/ I would just go with the phone and skip the pocket video.

I still advocate the HD Flip Mino for video. Pocket size, HD quality.

I would stay with the curve. I had an iPhone and tossed that thing off the bridge (seriously). I must have had 10 dropped calls a day. The phone is cool, neat features, the email app leaves a lot to be desired for. In the real estate business, a BB is essential to stay ahead of the game, IMO. NO phone can compare to the email program that BB has, not one.

I disagree. The email app on the iPhone is great. I use it every day. However, regarding the dropped calls, it's the network, not the phone. That's why I'll be ditching my iPhone for the new Palm Pre. Palm Pre will be on Sprint, and where we are, Sprint has better service than AT&T. I literally can't get phone service at my house, near our airport, or in our office building. Lame. I just hope the Palm Pre has an app store with as many apps as the iPhone. The iPhone app store is what makes the phone.

Just goes to show you. I got rid of Sprint for Verizon because of the same reason. I did not go with AT&T because they also have too many dead zones aroun here.
