@waynelong - The Kenmore shuttle is $200 each way. I didn't realize that until after I booked. Probably going to stick with the flight though because of a tight schedule on my return flight.

Really looking forward to the trip and meeting everyone!

I saw that but it is still as cheap or cheaper than anything else in total cost. I will get booked this week with REW and the flights. Looking forward to it!

The deed is done and I'm coming in Tuesday afternoon and out Sunday.Have a car for sightseeing as the area is pretty.Never made it to the west coast( Sunshine Coast I guess) and there is a place called Tofino I was told was worth checking out. See you there. Flying into little Nanaimo airport from Vancouver, via SF, which is pretty easy. Not surprisingly Air Canada seems to have the best rates from CA.

Glad to be meeting more people this year! I'm definitely going to be there. Not sure yet how many will be in tow yet though - anywhere from 1 to 3. I took a long way there before but it made the trip an adventure (Denver > Seattle > Port Angelas > Victoria > Nanaimo). Getting stuck in Seattle was fun for a whipper-snapper wannabe like myself and company too This year I'd like to do without the rental car so we'll be at the Coastal. Now it's figuring out the "we" thing.

I'm getting ready to pay for my flight and hotel.

Before I do is everyone flying into vancouver and taking the ferry from there, or fly to seattle and ferry/drive from there?

Seems like this would be difficult to coordinate. Perhaps new threads for each of the possibilities is in order?

As far as I know Jon, Eric and myself are flying into Seattle on Tuesday. Then driving up to Naimno via the Victoria ferry. Our plan is to get into Seattle around Noon (local time) and then have a leisure trip up the coast and a day of rest before we get into the conference.

We are going to fly out of Seattle Saturday night late, with an overnight flight that gets us home sometime Sunday before noon.

Eric has to leave Friday night I think for a really early Saturday flight.

Scott if you have a chance, check out the Parliament Building and the Princess( ?) hotel in Victoria. Really pretty buildings and the town is great to walk around. Definitely worth spending some leisure time in.

    GreggRio:

I think you mean the Empress Hotel in Victoria, which is now part of the Fairmont chain. Quite a landmark, a must see.

It's a beauty. My wife likes to stay there and go to High Tea.

You are right, it is all royalty to us paupers and commoners, empress, princess, king. We flew into the harbor there on a float plane which was cool and stayed in the Navy HQ ( ?) building which is a few blocks away. Downtown was fun to walk and hopefully some folks will have time to visit there.

    Morgan,

I was hoping to meet with you while you were in Vegas this last week but I guess you got busy. Guess I am going to have to make it up to Canada.

By the way, I spoke with Eric Blackwell this last week at Bloodhound Unchained and he said that the REW event last year was one of the best events he has attended.
