While I realize that their numbers are off and not dependable, Marketleap.com tries to show the amount of backlinks. Yahoo is eliminating quite a few backlinks as being registered or having a different idea of counting which backlinks are valuable or should be counted. Morgan, if you have an insight to this, please share.

I hope so, we went from #15 to not in the top 150 in the matter of a week. I am still wondering if we are being punished for not buying a $299 listing!

I know Morgan is all for it and I am wondering that same question about the worth of Yahoo directory. I also went down from 14 to off the radar for my town. Patience, I guess, patience.

If it helps... I have not paid for a Yahoo! Directory Listing for any of my sites and they are #1 in Yahoo for each of their target keywords.

I finally overtook another Point2 Agent site with no links, less content (she didn't even change many of her pages from the original template) & no mls that had #1 position for quite some time. Now I'm #1 again! (I was #1 for a while until I changed my url). Took a lot longer to regain my position than I thought it would. I was fluctuating between first & second page prior to this change so I hope I stay there.

I'm also #1 with another site for kw's I didn't expect. Plus I at least appear in the lst 2 pages for a new set of kw's I'm working on where I was nowhere to be found before.

With one of my newest sites I'm #3 for my main kw's. And I can't believe I'm on the radar for some kw's on my brand new site (#30). I wasn't going to bother checking.

I have never paid for a Yahoo directory listing.
Money Magazine says that Orland Park real estate is one of the best places to live in the U.S. Check out Homer Glen homes if you're interested in living in the newest Chicago suburb. Next door, Lemont homes are the priciest in the southwest suburbs and have held their value, even appreciating while prices in other areas have gone down.
