Hey Mark,
To add/change "my featured community names on home page go to your snippet #sidebar-featured-communities# (I think this is the one?) and change out the generic "community name" for whatever you want in it's place. As far as Recent blog posts, on your backend menu bar there should be one for blog. Click on it and that is how you update your blog.
Hope this helps!
Melinda
Here is a quick guide I sent to Jim Sparrow, hope it helps
#sidebar-featured-communities# - This snippet will allow you to control the sidebar on the right – you have full html control (vs before when you only had what he CMS gives you) so it’s a little more messing with html, but way more flexible.
#2-columns-homepage# - This is how you achieve that 2 column in the body look that many LEC users are taking advantage of take a look at Ryan’s for inspiration if you like http://www.ryanwardrealestate.com
#drop-down-contact# - This is where you edit your contact information in the drop down button on the top of the page – Please do not edit past the closing paragraph tag after the “fax” line or you may break the form.
#local-area-index# - This is where you edit the links that are in the dropdown “local area index” at the top of the site.
#featured-listings# - Use this for 4 featured listings across the body content area – again use http://www.ryanwardrealestate.com/ as the example – the listings get in there by you clicking “Listings manager” then “featured listings” and you just input the MLS # (As many as you like, if you add more than 4 they will rotate randomly on refresh.
#footer-contact-info# - Edit this snippet to change the contact information area in the bottom right hand side of LEC 2.0
#footer-navigation# - Edit this snippet to change out the links in the web 2.0 footer of LEC 2
That should do you for snippets I think bud, let me know if you have any questions
Cheers
Starting LEC 7 soon but it won't be called LEC 7 - LEC 2012 coming soon!
How do I get a #2-columns-homepage# all I got was a right column. I would also like the drop down contact and featured listing snippet.
Many thanks
I totally overlooked this forum. I did not realize you were here. I am ready to learn and share.

Hello Curtis
I have added #2-columns-homepage# (its just a sample to copy from). I also converted your drop-down contact to use a snippet.
I'll get working on the featured-listing snippet for you. It may take a little while though.

K, you got the featured listings snippet now

To edit the listings, in your backend go to Listings Manager -> Featured Listings and add and delete listing there by MLS Number
