Google Analytics

I just went to look at Google Analytics for the first time since my re-make went live and it is asking me to register for an account.

Does this have to be created with the new site or should it transfer from the old one since the url is the same?

Just use your existing, same URL analytics code and insert it in you CMS under Tools, Tracking Codes under Google Verification Meta Tag
Example: YzkkuppaPeggsc7GvCGsRaeUJKPGmckut6i8fmcpd K5=

It will then be automatically inserted into all your new site pages. You or REW needs to do it on your new site. It does not automatically transfer.

Where do I find the analytics code?

Log in to google analytics:
http://www.google.com/analytics

(click the blue Access Analytics and sign in)


The code should be displayed in the middle of your screen beginning with a UA.

Mel Analytics is already hooked up - did you loose your logins? If so I can send them to you. It's registered to your e-pro@comcast.net email address if memory serves.

I changed the code in there this weekend because it would not work and someone posted that it would not transfer with the new site. It still does not work after having done that as far as I know!

Did you get this sorted out? I logged into your Analytics account using the email address that Morgan posted and I see it gathering stats. Let me know and I'll PM you the password for that account.

Please go ahead and pm me the info. I created another account, but I'm not sure that it got completed.

I wouldn't create another account that may loose some of the data. I've PM'd you the password I used.
