    Default Linking Strategies?

I was curious to find out how other real estate related site webmasters use linking strategies to gain in popularity. Our site, Coastal La Jolla Funding, has been manually adding links but it seems there must be a better way. Thanks in advance for your linking strategy advice!

For my own sites I use a software program called Reciprocal Manager.

    Jeff,

How has that program worked out for you? Can you share any personal experience?

I'm running an older version of the software and after a few SEO tweaks it did everything I needed. There is a new version recently released that I believe is more SEO friendly.

Is software that much easier than doing it manualy? Or is it more for high demand daily type link trading?

I think quality counts for much more than most realize. Gathering a large number of links is easy, but if I'm not mistaken, the search engines place an emphasis on their definition of quality.

While I get daily requests from automated link management programs I rarely take a second look.

However, when a personal request from someone who has obviously looked at one of my sites contacts me I read it. Form letters are dispatched with the Delete key.

I have used a link management product that has automated things quite nicely, it's got a decent user interface, and it gives me a lot of options (the ability to screen new requests, automatically check for reciprocal presence, validates all outbound links for dead ones, assign featured links, import from DMOZ, etc.). It's also supported by a user forum that is pretty responsive.

The kicker is that it is free.

Resale Broker - what are some of the SEO tweeks that you made to your package - I'm curious on that, as I could probably stand to do the same.
