Great points, Derrick. I agree with you - it's always best to stay into curiosity when dealing with prospective clients. I'm going to try a few of those questions you listed.

I get a ton of these and I just add them to the new listings notification system and add them to a drip campaign that is suited for the amount of time they specify to make the purchase.

Questions like that tell so much of someone’s real motivation. Many time people will just say "just looking" or something similar because they have a fear we will hound them. I don’t suggest be pushy and certainly not hound someone at all but I do feel its better to ask questions and do all we can or another agent will.

You're right. Usually, knowing the right questions to ask can lead to something. Our questions may even make our prospective clients that its time for them to look for a house now, not in a year.
