    Default Average Time on Site

Over the last 7 days I have been watching my analytics a bit more to understand how changes I make affect the site.

Now I have a template, but I had
    • 6.03 Average Page Views
    • 7:49min Average time on Site
    • 114 visits 64% were new
    • 47% bounce rate

Now I followed the Bounce Rate thread, but even though my Bounce Rate seems high, I think almost 8 minutes on the site w/6 page views is really good.

I am trying to establish a base line for when I eventually go to an LEC. So, in your opinion, are these number good?

    * 6.03 Average Page Views (Not great at all for someone who has an REW IDX)
    * 7:49min Average time on Site This is decent
    * 114 visits 64% were new This has nothing to do with your site but more your efforts in marketing it
    * 47% bounce rate this is not great either - better than an AA site - but certainly not where most LEC's end up - I am looking at www.buddyblake.com right now and it's running around 31%
Starting LEC 7 soon but it won't be called LEC 7 - LEC 2012 coming soon!

Did you look at your traffic sources to see if any had a really low time on site, or a higher bounce rate? You may be investing in some advertising that is not providing quality hits.

Btw Larry although these numbers can provide "some" insight into website performance there is really 1 metric that trumps them all - "conversion"

If you have CMS 2 - login, click lead management and then click "this months leads" (unfortunately you will have to count them I think)

Then login to Google analytics - and by default it should be set to the last month of data (last 30 days or whatever) Click the visitors tab on the left had side then in the middle of your screen look for the "absolute unique visitors" number (it's important to use this number vs "visits" because visits counts everyone already registered that returns during your drips etc)

Now take your lead count and divide it by your absolute unique visitors and this will give you your conversion.

For instance if you have 90 leads and 3000 absolute unique visitors 90/3000 is a conversion of 3% (.03)

Templates should have goals of 3-5% LEC's and customs should shoot for 5-10%

again there are some other factors to consider (older sites with tons of returning leads each month will always have lower conversion but it's not a bad thing)

Actually, once you "click on this months leads", then click on "System Summary" and it will show the lead count. However, I think the summary lead count is for the last 30-days, not just current month. It's a great tool if one is keeping track of leads by month vs. unique visitors in G. Thanks for having that in there..!~

    Morgan,

THANK YOU for all that info. I am not doing any PPC, but do have my links in ads and e-mail.

If you only knew what I was doing right now to jump on that LEC we discussed, you'd be laughing. (see below; I should have an answer by next week)

I am building content on this site, something I should have done long ago, but I am hoping it will help when we do convert to an LEC.

It's funny, when I do tell people about REW, I have to follow it by saying, Don't judge them by my site Look at... But some day soon And to think I love this site 100 times more than AA.
