Default Could use some honest reviews

We could use some honest reviews from anybody willing...

We are not finished yet. We are still getting major components working before opening up (galleries, free downloads/uploads section, job search/resume posts, and others)... but when it comes to the design and understanding of what the site is for, we could use some fresh eyes.

Augusta - if you are insinuating that i am here to advertise... you must have misread my post. I am not currently advertising at all because I am not finished with the site. In fact - when I do advertise, it will not be to real estate webmasters. I am here for a fresh set of eyes from people with experience in this... the site is for collaboration within the industry, and we will support other sites like i wish they would support our's. This is my first website, and i really just want good reviews to help me pinpoint my weak points... in design, layout, or even overall concept.

Ann - Yeah, thank you for helping... the login is right there mainly for simple login... The members would sign in right away bc the user would have their control block available then - such as tools to watch all their threads with updates content, ability to create content (blogs, galleries, etc.). While the site hopefully would have something to offer guests, the members hopefully will get a whole different experience. They will be able to have company pages with galleries as well... job listings, post resumes... all that kind of stuff. The site is really more for "community" members rather than attracting bunches of guests.

I'd like to keep the intro page very simple and clean.... uncluttered. Too much content thrown at me usually rapels me... and i'd like to be more inviting. Do you think i should take a different approach and relocate the login?

The site looks nice and clean..and although you have a lot of content, it doesn't appear overwhelming.

I think the website needs more embellishments and accent colors... especially around the title headers (widgets in content sections)... or something to distinguish each defined area. Some css styling for directory listings may be needed. These are minor things im sure,.. but just my 2 cents.

It looks to be much further along than you indicated. Overall, it looks sharp, but I'm not entirely sure what you're selling. So I guess my remark would be, make your website more purposeful. Maybe I'm just slow....

Expand your welcome to the site blah blah blah table to be on top of the left 2 colums.

Go more into detail about your site and it's purpose. You should incorporate your target audience keywords within this section. Choose wisely. Explain the parts of your homepage and what they are for. "Below you will find the recent articles discussed on my blog and blah blah blah.

Make a Header saying something like "Building Nut Blog Articles" for your blog recent topic links, then a short description about the blog and what you cover there, and a nice border to surround the header and 3 categories so it appears to be all together.

Do the same with your forum recent posts.
