    Default Spun article opinion

Because there is only so much you can talk about in mortgages, my niche. I've decided to have spin ready content written, so that I can post different version on my sites, lens, hubpages, etc. with the idea that they won't be penalized by google. Now before anyone comment and say that this is bad. Just think about how many "refinance to pay of debts" articles there are. Basically covering the same exact subject written using different sets of words.

    What are your thoughts?

Personally I don't like it and I don't do it- feel like it is better to have fewer/high quality articles that people WANT to link to and use for their sites or blogs. That of course is more challenging but in the long run could generate a better overall return.

Here's what I do since I don't use article spinners... I am sure there are details you can furnish the articles with. What you can do is to break up the points and elaborate each oo it as an article by itself. For example you have an article on 5 advantages of Reverse Mortgage. Break it down into 5 different articles and do more research on each advantage. Provide it with more resource, latest facts and figures within each point and you will have an original and good seed article to re-write on later. There is so much to write, only if one is willing to be more hardworking and do its research in-depth and focus on the micros.

I personally think that article spinning is a great thing to do, especially if you have already determined that a few of your articles are getting some pretty good traffic.

If people like the content of your well-performing articles, then I think spinning that content to create more of the same content and providing it to the market is smart. It also gives you additional backlinking.

I say go for it! But just don't get carried away! LOL

That's a great idea. Are you planning on getting some different authors as they will have different ways of writing and probably will look better to the SEs.

Frankly I don't see the point of doing article submission UNLESS you spin the articles. It doesn't require a great deal of research either.
Without teaching granny to suck eggs, you write one version of an article on widgets in which you discuss, in order: red widgets, blue widgets, green widgets, black widgets, white widgets, yellow widgets.
Version 2 of the article might start off with, for instance, "yellow widgets may be the least popular widgets on the market right now. Yet they have tremendous potential. blah, blah, drone, drone" and then take in the other types of widget.
Version 3 might say "funny thing about white widgets - you don't see them in shops any more. Which is a shame because..." and so on and so forth.
In my view anyone who can recite the alphabet can spin an article beyond recognition...

People who are spinning articles are probably better of spending time on creating new articles instead of re-hashing old ones or using automated software to re-write it for them.

This is probably part of the reason why google is making it harder these days to find decent article directories that are frequently cached.

    Just my .02, but...

I am with Tyler and Carolyn on this.

Do you need content that bad? Is there really nothing to write about in the mortgage industry? There seems to be so much going on now with news changing every day...

In my opinion, doing "spun" or "duplicate" content is not the way to success. It does not generate REAL relationships and does not create lasting readers.

One of the problems that newspapers are having online is that they are having a difficult time understanding this very thing. They take an AP (associated press) story and copy it darn near verbatim and put it on their site and they wonder why Google does not give them the relevance.

Often they 'spin' it but don't really have a unique point of view. (even their authors don't differ at all from one online newspaper to the next.)

My take is this: You will get farther with LESS posts that have REAL substance...that actually get (inspire) folks to link to them...that have a take and (to quote Jim Rome) don't, well, umm...suck.

Yes, it is tempting to create spun stories and submit them to heaven knows how many article submission sites, but that will only devalue the sites further than they already are.

Doing it the unique and genuine way SEEMS harder than it truly is IMO.

    Just my thoughts.

Nothing like quoting Jim Rome... love it.

Yes, you will get farther with posting good quality posts that have a purpose. I see too many people (including myself from time to time) posting some very boring articles geared towards the keyphrase your trying to rank for and the reading just doesn't keep me interested.
