Don't forget about googles real estate reciprocal link penalty

I was one of those sites penalized along with John, Marc, Ryan and others back in May 07. It was for state pages filled with links. Very different from linking between your own blog and website.

As webmaster said, if it's done in a natural manner and linking to relevant content you should be fine.

I have not had any issues, knock on wood , from having many links from my blog to my corporate site, in fact, I strongly believe this is one of the reasons I began ranking so well in Google aka links from my blog to my site.

If they are hosted from 2 different IP addresses you should be fine.
