I am always fascinated on how you get banned by Google. I would guess it would be a manual human intervention. It is mind boggling to think that with the zillions of pages and sites out there, Google can pick you out of a crowd.

It is not alway Google that picks a site out of the crowd. They manually do it after someone manually reports it.

I know some who would agree with that synopsis.

Still must have 100s of people taking those reports. I will be looking forward to the day many years from now when all that goes on at Google is "declassified"!

I'm sorry but I really don't get the google conspiracy theorists. Yes there are a ton of factors that go into how something ranks, but google pretty much lay everything out in their webmaster guidelines.

I don't know the history behind the Hawaii site so not commenting on that - just feel people like to put this mystery around G rankings that doesn't really exist.
