Default LEC 2 Ready for critique --Bring it ON!!

I have my LEC 2 up and running since early March and despite a few links to nowhere I would love some constructive critiquing from the REW forum. I know I have a ways to go with some added content (schools, buyers, sellers, etc) but please have at it. BTW my spelling is horrible even with a spell checker but I am trying.

Thanks for Anything -- I love this forum

cool widgets, but maybe to many?

Anyway to shorten the followers list so it doesn't look empty?

The prudential logo at the bottom right seems large.

I have wondered why you do not have any signature links to your main page... do many people do this?

I have always liked the logo... Good looking site

Ok, since you asked here goes...

    Main Navigation (right side):
    • Advanced Home search link doesn't work.
    • Map Search link doesn't work.
    • Foreclosures link doesn't work.
    • Your homes value link doesn't work.

    Bottom Navigation:

    Buyers and sellers resources:
    • First 3 links don't work

I also agree the Prud logo doesn't fit the page or the site. Perhaps a smaller, transparent logo?

I agree also that networked blogs looks empty. I would remove this until you have more followers to fill it up.

If it were me, I would have chosen a color scheme closer to the franchise colors or more inline with the theme of the content of the site. I like your color scheme and certainly like the lec as well, there are just a few elements that seem 'out of place'.

Best of luck with the site.

Keep it coming, yes, many of these links go nowhere and this week they should have some content to go to.
Thanks for the logo issues, still need to work on that, added it at the last minute to please Prudential.
My sig links are no follow now anyway (now), maybe I'll point one at another site.
$1000 buck to change the color scheme, maybe after a few more closes.

I am assuming that the site mentioned in the post is in your sig?
In which case, I like the over all design, up the flash took a little longer to load then other lec2 sites that I've look at. Also your RE company logo at the bottom looks out of place, maybe it should be fix.

Yes I think I need to remove a 'media box' or two to speed the loading.

I agree with the others. The LEC2 is a great site, but it looks like poorly put together template right now. I tried using a Chat window years ago and never had any luck with it. Maybe if you rename it to Ask a Question.

Looks like a day of fixing some of these issues up should do you well.

Take a look at this logo for you. I think it works better and I know REW can do much better than I can

How does the chat work for you? We tried it on our site for a while but got little response. It seems like it should work but it didn't seem to work for us.

    Donna,

I was using chat as far back as 2002 and it did not work for me either. I think a Q&A box is much better.
