    Default Google Verification Meta Tag

    I got the code from Google, inserted it in the CMS, but Google says it's not there. I don't see it displayed on my home page when I view source. Does it take a while to propagate. I copied/pasted the code Google said to use.

    Hi Chris,

    I've made it so the verification tag now show up in the source code of the homepage. It should now allow you to verify your site with Google.

    Thank you,

    I have the same situation, entered the google verification meta tag in CMS, but google webmaster tools doesn't show it as being added. Metatag is:
    <meta name="verify-v1" content="8lnSiEoN079fOADtSC3DDbAjRw3jdckXT23KM+hI/MQ=" />

    Hi Steve,

    Looks like the issue in your case - is that you have to only enter the content part of the meta tag... so enter

    8lnSiEoN079fOADtSC3DDbAjRw3jdckXT23KM+hI/MQ=

    into the space for the verification tag ...

    I'm trying to get verified also. Google gives me a meta tag and says to paste it on the site's home page in the first <head> section of the page, before the first <body>.

    When I log onto the cms and edit home page, how do I find the placement described above?

    After you log into the CMS - hover over the "Tools" menu ... then choose "Tacking codes" from the menu - enter the code in the text input box labeled. "Google Verification Meta Tag" .... as described above only enter what's between the content="" part of the meta tag.

    Thanks! That worked fine and Google was able to verify.

    Next question: Do I submit one sitemap for my site or is there a separate sitemap that I need to submit for the IDX? How do I develop the IDX sitemap?

    Hi Tim,

    There is the one sitemap that comes with the CMS. It'll have all the pages you have created in the CMS ( once you generate it in the backend ) ... we also have an Advanced XML / IDX Sitemap listed here http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/...hancements.php which you can order if you wanted to sitemap the IDX details pages on your site.

    Thank you,
