Default New Blog Theme - Give it some love!

Just moved to a new theme and was looking to get some reviews from you guys. What do you think?

    TechForAgents.com

I'm going for more of a professional look, since I'm moving away from adsense and onto more of a paid space strategy.

PS. Still accepting guest writers for nice linkage.

while it is very clean and easy on the eyes, it is a pretty standard theme seen around the net.

easy to navigate, colours work well together.

however, the CSS and HTML do not validate .. does not seem to affect the display any, so that's ok. still, proper validation is a must as the standards are soon to be reaching a new plateau, Web 2.0.

looks good though .. nice work.

EDIT: just viewing your site in Internet Explorer 6 (which still makes up for a fair share of internet browsers (unfortunately)), some visual display is lost when trying to read an article. main text shoots down the page a fair distance.

I'm not even attempting to optimize for IE6 any more; am going to have to live with that.

Thanks for the review! I'll look into the validation issues.

Great looking site! The colors work well together and it is just very clean and uncluttered.

i'm with you on the IE6. Just finished developing a site only to check it much later in IE6 and see several crippling compatibility issues.

IE6 still holds 15.4% of the market, but is dropping quickly (whew!).

thing is, will proper validation, your site will display relatively the same in every browser (especially modern browsers). thing is, people can't read/view your content if their browser can't display it.

I fixed the HTML validation issues (was some core Wordpress bugs, oddly enough), and now working on the CSS ones.

    Thanks Donna!

Hey Steve, I'm viewing your blog with Chrome and it looks great. More importantly, it's an interesting read. Bookmarked!

That's a great looking site. It does look better without the adsense. I hope that first picture isn't how you feel on a regular basis.
Although I can't remember your old site specifically, I do remember being frustrated with the navigation. I'm glad I know who owns that site now!

Hah! No, not on a regular basis. The old site had the adsense in the navigation area (to encourage clickthrough). That's pretty frustrating to the end user I'd imagine.

Thanks for taking the time to check it out and thanks Yoyo!

    Looks good Steve,

While normally not a big fan of black borders or Green (I loathe the color green), it seems to work for you.

Do you think the right column is a bit large and overshadows/squeezes the content?

Now let's talk about that guest writer offer
