    Default Perfect 10!

Today is a great day! I just looked at my most recent daily report, and half of my keywords have quality scores of 10! I wish I had done more keyword optimization on my landing pages ages ago. Oh well, the work done last week has already paid for itself.

Don't know what the issue was, but the the FlexMLS search hung up when I tried it in FF. No results on any of several of the foreclosure pages I tried. Error message was -

    Network Timeout

The server at link.flexmls.com is taking too long to respond.

Dear Steve, how can I better myself for keywords that land on the first page of google. I do understand there is no magical formula, however why real questions is "what is the best way to determine those keywords"?

The thing that worked best for me was good on-page seo related to on-page seo. Whatever your landing page's keywords have to be strongly tied to the keywords in your PPC ad. I also have a landing page for each ad.

@Steve... did you create a new page specifically designed around your ad keywords? Or did you use an existing page?

I am interested because I am getting ready to start my very first ad words campaign.

Each landing page was designed for a specific keyword. Each page was optimized with the title, h1, and h2 along with bold using the same keyword. The example here is no longer being used. I made new ones for Chandler foreclosures and Gilbert foreclosures.

    Hey Steve,
I have never been able to get more than maybe 20% of my pages to a 10. I was reviewing your pages to see how you did it, and noticed that when I looked at your source to see how the keywords match the Adwords key phrase I could not find any keywords in the page. Are you cloaking your keywords for the nosy?
Course its much easier to get a 10 when you have only a few key phrases to optimize, but usually we have hundreds of phrases and becomes a lot harder and more time consuming to make them optimize to a 10. I find very little difference in the results for a 10 and a 7,8,9 when I study the statistics. I am sure a 10 comes in a little cheaper and a little higher on the totem pole, but it seems to me a 7 or 8 works well and takes only a minimum amount of optimization to get there.. where as it takes a lot to get to a 10... and stay there.
