Thread: Anyone using Yoono?

  1. #1

    Default Anyone using Yoono?

Anyone using the firefox add-on Yoono? It's an app that keeps all of your social networking sites grouped together on the side of your desktop*. Basically, you get live updates from either facebook, myspace, twitter, flickr, etc.- so you don't have to login to each of those. It's so new that it actually spells flickr as flicker in the app (the mouseover). I'm surprised they haven't corrected that yet.

Anyway, it seems to be a good place to group everything.

*Edit: Sorry, not on your desktop, it's in your browser.

No, Yoo? (sorry, couldn't help myself! grin)

Will take a look at it. Thanks for the heads up.

There are a lot of these services popping up. I forget the name of one but it ended up getting a class action lawsuit after it basically used all of the username and passwords it received to push affiliate offers and to do spamming.

Yoono... a contraction for the name Yoko Ono or an advanced version of the children's card game uno?

I never heard of it. I'm not using facebook or myspace but I'm on twitter. What else do they have besides flickr?

Found it today and I am using it as a desktop program for my windows and IE computer. So far a nice program. Lets me check out all SM websites with just a click or two.

Never heard of it. I'll have to take a look at it.

    EDIT:

Mm... looks like a nice plugin but with so many addons I have on firefox my browser now moves as slow as a snail...

I use it in my desktop not my browser. I don't want to slow down IE. It just make it easy to check FB, Twitter, Linkedin or any other SM program people subscribe to.

I just thought it was a kinda of cool way to keep up with all of the SM out there.
