301 re-direct tool

I am a little confused on how to use the 301 redirect tool.
I have domain names that I am not using (of subdivisons or condo complexes) such as seaplace.com that I want to point (re-direct) to a page such as
http://sarasotacondos.com/seaplace.php

Is this what I would use this tool for?

Do I just enter the domain name ("seaplace.com") in the box for the old file name and the "/seaplace.php" in the box for the new file name?

No. The 301 redirect tool is for redirecting pages on one site. You cannot redirect domain names to a page using the 301 redirect tool. If you did want to redirect domains to a site - you can usually do that within the registrar ( if you are using GoDaddy ) then I know you can....

Another question about this tool.
I want to create a sub-domain (Chase.Sarasota-Foreclosures.com) and have it forward to Sarasota-Foreclosures.com/Chase.php)

Is this task something that can be done with this tool? or
Is it something I need to do work order for? or
Is it something I need to set from the domain registrar?
