    Default Basic Agent Commission Question

    Hi all -

I have a very basic question regarding agent commission structures.

What is the main difference in operation between a "Fee" listing, and a "Collect Your Own Fee" listing - what's going on behind the scenes in each scenario. Who is the agent collecting the fees from in each scenario, and in what typical amount?

    Thanks a lot.

This sounds like you're dealing with commercial or land as opposed to traditional residential. It sounds like in the first scenario, you get paid by the seller. In the second, you will need to be paid by the buyer you represent.
There are no typical amounts (think Sherman), but I would ask for 2-5% in the second scenario depending on the transaction.
