    Default Full Time Realtors

    (edit)

I started this question after learning about this paragraph of NYS Licensing Law governing Real Estate Sales Persons (this includes Associate Brokers) Now that I finally found the actual paragraph, I am posting that in place of the original post.

Take a read and then comment:

§175.21 Supervision of salesperson by broker

    (c) Participation in the general real estate brokerage business as a licensed real estate salesperson shall consist of active service under the supervision of a licensed real estate broker for at least 35 hours per week for 50 weeks in each year required for qualification under the law.

Wayne and I are absolutely full time Realtors. We have no other income other than Real Estate. That can be a little scary sometimes but has been great for us overall.

How many people want a doctor who drives a bus during the day and operates on you at night?

How about a lawyer that can see you after they get off work at the Home Depot?

The experience you gain full time in Real Estate is a priceless asset for your clients.

We've both been full time in real estate since 1992.

Without having another spouse's income (or inheritance, trust fund, lottery winnings, etc) to support ourselves during lean times, it gives us a lot of motivation to get the job done to the best of our ability every single time. There is no safety net. If we don't get it right, we starve. That simple.

(Reason I put in the inheritance, trust fund, etc disclaimer, is I am always amazed at how many people we run into that receive 10s of thousands of dollars a year as freebie bonus money from their trust fund - and don't consider it as anything other than "normal". We have no such safety net to catch us.)

Full time, but my wife with a full time job certainly helped the past couple of years.
I am a Tempe Real Estate agent, and I have been specializing in Tempe Foreclosures for several years now. I am also a market specialist in Chandler Homes for Sale.

I have sold proeprties for several senior citizens who have had trust funds all their life. They do have a different take on the world.

Jennifer is a full time REALTOR and I am a licensed real estate agent.

However my primary business is not real estate but computer related.

I definitely know what you mean though Larry - It seems when we moved from California where everyone was an actor, we're now surrounded by real estate agents.
