    Default Ad Networks - CPM/CTR

    Hello everyone @REW,

First things first. I'd like to say hello to Tampa4u, RMasse10, Tampa2enjoy, BrandonRE & Lipply. You guys have really busted your butts online. It definitely shows : ) Congrats!

Questions: Any positive or negative encounters with ad networks? What CPM costs are you seeing? What CTR are you experiencing? What seems to be the most popular incentive/value proposition in your existing campaigns?

@RMASSE10: Digging your style my man.

    Thanks in advance!

This topic is very interesting to me. I just got hired to a real estate company to help their online efforts and my background is doing large scale media buys online for direct response campaigns.

I worked with a lot of ad networks on 5 figure campaigns and got an idea of what worked and what didn't. I just signed up for a blog account here, so maybe I'll put together an article.

Some tips to keep in mind.

    - Ask for remnant inventory. When calling any publisher/network they will offer you their rates on a rate card ($4-10 CPM). Tell them you need to meet a desired ROI and if you are able to then you can always discuss raising the CPM (which never happens)

-Ask for premium inventory above the fold on a first network call. You want your ads at the top of the page showing before other advertisers.

    - Ask for a 24-48 hour out clause. I need 50+ media buys and never did one without an out clause. You never know if the traffic you are getting is horrible or not. Don't take a chance.

I'd say to start, look for a CPM of anywhere from $1-$3 and a click through rate of .01%

Best of luck to you - and welcome to REW
