    Default Facebook URLs

Set your facebook url now before someone takes your name... Lol.

Just a friendly reminder that facebook is not allowing users to set their own username/urls (ex: facebook.com/yourname)

Not sure of good seo benefits, but sure looks better than facebook.com/people/yourname/ale39r308r-19

Just a bit of branding. Good luck getting your desired name.

It should be interesting to see how this plays out. I checked this morning and many real estate related URL's were taken.

when I search for people on google, I see facebook pages come up quite a bit. I wonder if real estate keywords will start to come up now?

I guess we will find out soon enough.

I was able to get StJohnsRealEstate hoping that was a good choice.

Yeah, that kinda sucks that we can't do that. But I found another way to do it. And good for you that you could put that as your url. Why is facebook like that? I don't understand all the networking sites; they're too complicated for me.

I'm really pounding the pavement with Facebook trying to add as many friends of friends as I can. The only downside I saw to putting in something real estate related was that when you're adding them i'm assuming it will show up.

I just did the same name I have on Twitter.

    Simply out of curiosity.

Would you choose your name or highly-trafficked keyword/phrase as your facebook url? Why?

I'd go for my name, unless I was planning on creating a great resource for "keyword phrase" out of my facebook page. Any clicks would probably get an immediate bounce if it was a personal page.

I could be wrong, but I'm not sure people would click on a Facebook URL if they were looking for "real estate in Alaska"...That said, they may if they're looking for an "Alaska Real Estate Agent"....
