Default new msn search seems heavy on advertising

So I am not sure if this is what the new search is going to look like

    http://search.msn.com/previewx.aspx?...st=1&noredir=1

But it seems that they have 6 websites per page. And 3 are sponsored sites and the next 3 are 1-3. So it looks like unless you are in the top 3 you dont show up on the first page and even then the sponsered sites are given alot of space at the top.

Kind of stinks I was doing ok in msn had 3 different keywords ranked 1 2 and 7.

MSN doesnt give alot of traffic but every bit counts.

I don't see any change at MSN.com. There are 3 sponsored sites in a shaded area at the top followed by the organic results.

That's a site preview mode. How do you get those thumbnails to show up? I just get text links with the search result?

When I click on the second link I posted in the third post in this thread. One window shows up for a second and then it refreshes and the other window comes up.

Thanks cool so this is just another mode. Not how there new search will look.

I also could only get the thumbnails from the link you gave but when I added another search term I got regular results.
Money Magazine says that Orland Park real estate is one of the best places to live in the U.S. Check out Homer Glen homes if you're interested in living in the newest Chicago suburb. Next door, Lemont homes are the priciest in the southwest suburbs and have held their value, even appreciating while prices in other areas have gone down.

I have seen the 6 result pages for just the first page also. I am not sure if that one is only for most popular keywords with lots of ads requested for only. Because the less popular keywords give you the regular 10 searches.

I only see it for a URL with the spresults.

    http://search.msn.com/spresults.asp...nt=10&FORM=POPR

Well thats the url I type in. the page refreshes to

    http://search.msn.com/previewx.aspx?...st=1&noredir=1

Which shows me the six pages each with a preview.

On that page if I type in new keywords or leave the same old keywords in and press search the search looks like normal msn with 9 results and no previews.

I came across this while going through my log. When I clicked on pages in my log I kept seeing this wierd page with the six images. It came up repeatedly in my log for awhile.

I was just worried this was something MSN planned on doing in the future since the page is called "MSN Search Preview"

Its kind of wierd. I cant find a way through www.msn.com to find this search.
