Enjoyed this post. My site had page rank, lost it all a couple of years ago, www.mymaineproperty.com but still rank top 3 for most competitive keywords in my market, so go figure how it all works!?!?!

the rule used to be a page passes PR/number of links on page. However, PR really doesn't matter its all about ranking on your keywords

It's got to be a 301... Waybackmachine doesn't even know they exist (although I can usually find the site they 301 redirected from via site-explorer.)
