    Default Board Mailing Lists

    Hello,

I haven't figured out who sold out my home mailing address yet... but, either SABOR, TAR or NAR sold my personal, private home mailing address.

Until a months ago, I had my mailing address as a PO Box, but the San Antonio Board of Realtors contacted me and informed me that I was now required to provide a physical home address.

NAR/TAR/SABOR didn't do too good at protecting our email addresses, so I hesitated to give in to providing my physical address. After some back and forth emails with my local board, they assured me that they do not sell names.

    Hi Randy.

This information is not given out to anyone (sell/give/trade). It is a National Association of REALTORS mandatory requirement so that NAR/SABOR has a better contact system. But if you record here at SABOR shows your preferences to be your office, that is where everything will be sent.

Please provide the information by calling me or emailing me. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Thanks so much!
Reluctantly, I gave in an provided my physical home mailing address.

In the past month or so, I have begun to be flooded with recruiting letters from local brokerages.

Does anyone know who to contact to thank for giving out my physical address to anybody and everybody? Is it NAR, TAR (Texas) or SABOR (San Antonio)?

It is TAR or someone TAR directly provides information to. I had a similar situation occur with me when I gave TAR my real address.

Does nobody in the REALTOR association respect our privacy?

For the longest time, the entire email database (nationwide) was down loadable by anyone with an internet connection... now, apparently, our private information is sold to anyone that wants to buy our home addresses.

In California the Dept of Real Estate requires your home address.

But, does California Dept of Real Estate make it public or sell it to other brokerages so that they can recruit you?

In Texas the State also requires our home address, but they don't give it out. (Only our company address is available.)
