    Default [SOLVED] BUG: unsubscribe

I'm testing the unsubscribe feature and when I received the e-mail with the unsubscribe link it went to a '404- page not found'. Here's my steps:

    1) Click Lead Management
    2) Click on a lead
    3) Click the 'e-mail' tab
    4) Compose an e-mail with some random text and insert {unsubscribe} at the bottom of the e-mail
    5) Login to the e-mail account and read the e-mail and click the 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of the e-mail
    6) Web browser goes to a 404 page

Now I realize the unsubscribe link is primarily intended for auto-generated e-mails, however, shouldn't we be able to include it in a personalized e-mail too?

    Thanks Milan!

The reason that the browser was getting a 404 was because the /unsubscribe.php page did not exist in the CMS. I've added the page and now the unsubscribe feature is working as expected.

Feel free to edit the page's content from the CMS.

For the rest of you beta testers... If you notice that this page does not exist either, please just go ahead and create it. All that it requires is that the file name is setup to be 'unsubscribe'.
    Thanks!

... Scratch that, just checked everyone and it's all good.

ok, thanks, the page is coming up and the link is working.

however, we just migrated all our leads into the new system when we went live with our site, and it looks like all the existing leads and the new leads coming in have the 'subscribed' status set to 'no'. shouldn't the default for all leads (existing and new) be set to yes?

also, I read the previous thread about unsubscribing and it said that when you click the unsubscribe link it will make a note in the history stating that the user unsubscribed. I tried testing this and nothing is showing up in the history, however, the subscribed status on the edit page is getting changed when I click the link.

    Hi Milan!

I've updated the users to have the proper 'subscribed' setting. This was problem occurred during the lead transfer.

Also, I've tested your unsubscribe system and it is making the note in the "History" tab on the lead details page. You can see this with my test lead 'REW Mike'.

    Cheers!
