    Default New LEC4 is live

    Greetings!

Would appreciate any and all feedback on my new LEC4 at ThompsonsRealty.com

It was just switched on last night, so the DNS propagation may not be complete -- you could wind up at the old site.

Still have a ton of content to add, but the gist of it is there. I've also not done all the SEO work like titles and descriptions. I am too impatient and wanted to get this thing live. Mostly interested in your opinions on look/feel/usability etc.

Let me have it, I can take it.

13 IDX registrations so far. Not bad for less than a day!

Hi Jay - the new site looks great, I like blue so I really like the colors you selected. I saw the comment on the blog about the map loading slowly; however, it worked just fine for me. I think you made a great choice going with REW and also with the LEC4.

Congrats on the new site! Great color scheme. I think you made the right decision with REW. If I was a broker or could get the ARMLS feed I'd go with an REW LEC in a heartbeat.

Do you think that the 13 registrations are from previous users of your old IDX or new visitors?

9 are new visitors (or at least people using an email address that wasn't used on the former site). 2 are previous users, 2 are my own agents checking things out.

All it takes is 90 hours of hell sitting in class. Be the best move you ever made...

*Great* use of Thesis and Diverse Solutions Gary!

I've got 9 more months as an agent before I can take the test. I should probably start taking my classes now though.

Thank you. I am at the limit of my own personal skills though. There are so many things I would like to do with it but don't have the ability or the time.

Another question, if you don't mind. How many registrations did you get per day on average with the old site?

Very nice, Jay. It sure took you a while to migrate over here! You should start enjoying some nice stats and great lead generation with your site.

Very nice looking site - I would be interested when you start tracking it and how it improves in the rankings as well as lead production. 18 now in G here.

It's hard to directly compare the two as I didn't require any registration on the old site. I probably averaged 1 a day. About a year ago, I experimented with forcing registration and averaged about 9 per day.

Once it's up and running for awhile, I'll be happy to share more data...

Nice clean site. Great logo, with the mouse! I like the scrolling featured listings--engaged me and made me want to see more, click on the "More" button. Good luck!

I love the LEC4 design (I just launched mine too), but personally, on my widescreen monitor with the browser at full screen, there's a bit too much brown/tan in the background in your color scheme.

In FireFox 3.5.1 the 'comments' and 'read more' button on the right side are not lined up correctly. I had this same bug on my site and REW fixed it.

BTW I like your slogan, "the power of technology with a personal touch."
