Default Anyone use RSS Feeds on their websites?

Does anyone ue RSS feeds for news, employment or other local news on thier websites? I wonder how the search engines feel about it? Is it something that can be done on an REW website?

Its a great tool. Many early stage buyers aren't ready to give you their info as a lead. They can subscribe to your RSS or twitter account to get updates until their ready. Its called the long tail.

RSS is excellent way for your regular website visitors to keep up with news on your web site. Feed saves time and that is what counts, also being in XML is excellent to parse it through some other web pages, and have it close by. That's real WEB 2.0
And concerning SEO, it's far better to have XML site map and to submit it to Search engines.

Hey guys I think Donna was talking about running RSS feeds from other sites into her site. I would say that it may or may not be a good idea. If the site owner of the feed is Ok with you doing so and you are not over doing it, along with it providing value to your users, I don't see why not.

Search engines aren't going to give you any value for duplicating other content.

There are lots of easy ways to add an rss feed from another site if you want. This is any easy tool to do it.

I used to use RSS for my blog, but now I use a service that post new content on my blog instead. I am not sure which is better, all I know is a lot of the RSS content is use all over the net, so you might it hit with duplicate content, so I try to avoid that.

Reposting content from RSS is a waste of time for SEO. But if the content makes your site better for your customers, use it. It won't hurt your search rankings to have it.

RSS are a good choice for fresh content (even if it isn't unique) A great choice is to pull Google News feeds (city + real estate) as it is usually very relevant information.

The panda update has me way to scared to try anything that might get flagged as duplicate content. Probably silly I just don't want to get dinged. I think I will avoid running the RSS feeds in,
