Default Houston Association of Realtors IDX codes

HAR just introduced 2 new search features: The 5% price reduction in the last 30-days; and, search for new listings less than 1 week old.

Do you know where I would go to find the database code for these features or an updated list of the HRIS/HAR IDX Reference File? I'd like to create snippets for these features.

    Hi Mark,

While they may have added these fields to the MLS - it may take some time - if at all - for them to add them to the IDX feed. So currently - these fields are not available for you to use.

    Thank you,
    Aaron

    Default HAR MLS Data

Mark: These 2 new searches are not based on a field value or "IDX code" in the MLS data base. Rather, these searches are based on calculations performed to derive these values. When you run scripts to update your copy of the MLS data base you can store the initial date and listing price. Then as time goes by and the price changes, you can perform calculations to determine how “new” a listing is or how much the price has changed.

The 1 week old and 5% price reduction thresholds were established by the HAR Technology Advisory Group and approved by the Board. As a broker, you can establish your own functionality and alert levels that may vary from the HAR.com features.

Good Point and thank you, InfoSam.

Mark - We do have a listing date, original price, and current list price. The only thing we don't have is the date the price changed. So we could code you up something to track which date the price changes.

If you'd like to move forward with this - I can get you an estimate from sales if you'd like us to code a solution to provide these 2 new search options for you.

    Thank you,
    Aaron
