I divide my writing content between the 2: I keep my best writing content for my Blog, but I also submit to places like eZine for building links and email list. I think they are both important, although they fulfill different goals.
I read several times that you should keep the best content for your website or blog.

more recently google has devalued artilce submission sites, so in terms on only SEO i would have to say blogging is the best. Google loves to see updated content regularly. This should help you crawl up the SERPS much faster that submitting to article sites.
Where is a good place to submit Articles for syndication?

The general consensus seems to be Ezine. They are a bit more strict about content, however once you get an article in there, it goes to quite a few different sites.

I went ahead and signed up for a free membership with them and submitted an Article to them. I guess I just have to wait 7 days to find out if they will accept the Article.

I think blog posts are more timely snippets or comments. Articles should be longer and would tend to provide factual information on a topic (ie a subdivision, area etc).

blogging. Keep your content on your site. you can then hire someone to rewrite that blog and post it to article directories. Be careful about duplicate content for no reason more than to remember you want to CONTRIBUTE to the web, not regurgitate info.
