Is it possible to prepare for and take the real estate license test online? Does it go state by state? Anyone know?

I'm pretty sure its by state, but Im not an agent. Its certainly possible to prepare online real-estate-courses.net/ not sure how legit these are vs going down and picking up a book. I know in BC you have to go through and accredited university and do a whole correspondance package before taking the test, and it cannot be challenged without the homework submitted but I think the states are quite different.
Anyone?
Starting LEC 7 soon but it won't be called LEC 7 - LEC 2012 coming soon!
Check with your state commerce department for real estat licensing. In Minnesota, you must first take one - 30 hour course, than pass the state exam and then take two more 30 hour courses before a license is issued. You can only take the courses that are state certified and are held in a classroom setting since they insure attendence (if you are one minute late, you are not allowed in class and must make up another time) The state is very particular to attendence.
hmm i look on www.real-estate-courses.net on the Minnesota section and they dont list any of the things Jim was talking about. also they say you study at home with their course, but Jim is saying this is a 90 hour in class requirement, that site is no good if you ask me.
lol, ok well it is best to check with your state's real estate board, I just happened to see there were sites about it. Maybe its preparing for your 30 hour classes![]()

yeah, I would just call the Dept. of Real Estate or whatever it is called in your state. I know that in California, the real estate courses are a joke. There is a continuing education element that must be fulfilled by everone, but all can be done as correspondence courses. The test is a joke too, I took mine in 20 minutes....that was for 200 questions. I think the prep class did it's job.![]()
